Ulva lactuca, is an edible green seaweed, found from the intertidal to the subtidal of most of the world’s oceans. Also known as sea lettuce, because of its slender, flat shape. It is known for its content of bioactive compounds Vitamin A, C, E and aosain used in cosmetics as it inhibits the action of elastase protecting collagen and elastane. Other uses include a nutrient supplement or biostimulant / bio fertilizer to increase plant growth and yield.
